My husband and I bought our house about three years ago on a two year adjustable rate loan. We were told that after two years we would be able to refinance to a fixed loan. However, when that time came it was the beginning of the housing crisis in which everyone was losing their homes. We were about to be one of those many. We stopped paying our mortgage payment in March of 2008 and by October 2008 our house was in foreclosure and about to go into auction. My name is Domingo H., married and has 2 kids (Domenique -- who join the army after we use his college money paying our  mortgage-- and Monique who is college but working to pay for it)  and was in danger of losing our home if our current mortgage is not modified.

More than 4 year ago, with the help of our  church's Pastor,   I attended the seminar  for WLG (world Leadership group) held at  our City Hall , to empower and educate consumer- who had just been laid off or loss their job- to use  their home's  mortgage as a tool to harness its power  as a key to build a successful financial plan in achieving  the American Dream!
 
We had been empowered !  all right,  with  WLG group, I was able to obtain a "POWER OPTION"  loan against our primary home  to payoff the balance of our Vacation home at  Lake Arrowhead that was burn down during the 1973 Big Fire" , remodel our primary home and have extra cash to pay of my credit card.  So,  it was a good loan, very good,  we start bringing in more people to the  seminar, one was my sister. (who was also being empowered, and now also in need of Loan modification)

However,that American Dream is still a dream,  I was unsuccessful  in getting back a  good job in aerospace   So we had to start borrowing  more  again.  we had to obtain a second mortgage and borrowed heavily in our credit cards to catch up to our primary mortgage payments- that went up and up  because the balance keep going up, and to make it worse, the lender send us a mail ending option one, and the loan re-sitting for a bigger, big mostly payment, we might not be able to afford.

Thanks  to Account Eecutive 1128-- a friend of my niece Lisa--- work hard  for our loan to be modified, Last week we received the good news,  through their hard work my lender agree not to re-set the loan for 5 years and  lower the interest rate so payment will be affordable so we will not lost our home, the home we had been staying for almost 30 years now.
